Tipples and Takeaways

A hop, skip, and a jump over from South Bank’s Parklands is a craft beer lover’s destination. Tomahawk Bar is a proud supporter of championing small, independent brewers and continuing their passion in pint form. With 13 rotating taps and a host of bottled brews, Tomahawk is a watering hole with an aim to educate its patrons so that they can savour their beverages knowing how they came to be, appreciating the diverse flavours that make each brew unique in its own right.

Complementing their craft taps is a menu of hearty, titillating meals with specials throughout the week. Sundays are Puffs & Paddles with empanadas and beer paddles (which is, by the way, utterly delicious and great value for money) and Wednesdays are Tomahawk Claws day, where you get fresh crab claws, fries, pickles, coleslaw, pale ale lemon butter, and a lollypop – all for $20! It’s truly a feast for the eyes and the stomach. And this is all not even including their brand new spring menu, featuring American-style cheeseburgers, Sticky Tout Lamb Ribs, and an old favourite of fish tacos. View their menu.

You can grab these goodies and enjoy them in the bar or you can get them to go and enjoy the sunshine with Tomahawk’s takeaway picnic baskets. With a selection of cheeses, olives, sourdough, seasonal fruit, and the option of additional meats, the picnic pack is the perfect way to enjoy Tomahawk fare alfresco-style. Ask one of the bar staff about a Takeaway Tallie to go with your pack!
