Your Ultimate Guide to Regional Flavours

Regional Flavours is coming up soon (the 20th & 21st July to be exact) and to help a brother (and a sister) out, we are providing you with a comprehensive guide to the festival, along with some insider knowledge so you can tailor your weekend to suit your specific tastes.

Ready? Your food adventure awaits…

If You Like Your Lunch with a Side of Laidback Luxe…
For those seeking a side of luxe with their lunch at Regional Flavours, look no further than our very own River Quay which will be abuzz with the sweet sounds and brimming with moreish morsels from the precinct’s award-winning restaurants including River Quay Fish, The Jetty, Popolo, Aquitaine and Stokehouse Q.
Insider Tip: Nothing is over $8! Run, don’t walk.

If Street Food is Your Game…
Get yourself to Little Stanley Street, where you’ll come face to face with a fleet of our very own eatSouthBank Street Stalls. With more delicious street food than you can poke a stick at and run by a number of Little Stanley’s best restaurateurs, these street stalls will be serving up fast, fresh and gourmet fare for your palate’s pleasure all weekend long for just $8 a pop or under.
Insider Tip: Take a sneak peek at the complete list of food trucks and their menu’s here so you can make a beeline to your favourites…

If You Fancy Yourself a Masterchef (Or Just Really Like Your Foodie Shows):
If learning the secret tricks and hacks of A-grade chefs sounds like it’s up your alley then head along to the Main Stage where a multitude of leading celebrity chefs will be imparting their knowledge in a series of cooking demo’s and talks with the energetic and incomparable Miguel Maestre hosting program with guests including Matt Preston, George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan, Poh Ling Yeow, Dan Churchill, Justine Schofield, Reynold Poernomo and Ellie Bullen.
Insider Tip: Ensure you arrive at least ten minutes prior to nab yourself seats because these sessions are set to be popular.

If a Beef Slider in One Hand and a Craft Beer in the Other is Your Idea of #Heaven:
If you are a true carnivore at heart, then there is no place you will rather be than The Hunting Club presented by The Charming Squire. This space aims to encapsulate the entire paddock to plate experience with a gorge-worthy menu and multiple cooking demonstrations throughout the weekend, plus they will also be serving up the greatest in craft ales and boutique brews. The best part? They’re hosting The Producers for another year, featuring four courses of exceptional food paired with delicious brews.
Insider Tip: If you’re in the mood to kick on after the festival, The Hunting Club will be open until late Saturday and Sunday.

If Wine and Cheese in the Same Sentence Makes You Smile Deliriously:
Queensland Taste is where our two great loves are paired together in a beautiful marriage of flavours. Why choose just cheese or wine when you can choose both? This is the place you can enjoy the best of the state’s artisanal food and vino while listening to the live sounds.
Insider Tip: Consult the program here so you can plan ahead and attend the free tastings and talks.

If Your Want to Load Up on Goodies to Take Home With You:
The best of the best producers will be lining the paths of South Bank this weekend to sell their delicious and fresh produce. Whether it’s warming spices, fresh olives, homemade pasta, sun-kissed berries or gourmet sweets that tickle your fancy, you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice at Regional.
Insider Tip: Consult the recipe page so you can start planning out the delicious meals you can cook with your haul.
