IT’S ALWAYS A GOOD TIME FOR DOUGHNUTS
It’s the smell that gets you at first. That distinct scent of sweet dough draws you in, and once you spy the colourful collection of doughnuts at Doughnut Time, you won’t be able to say no. The cafe’s summer cupcake flavours include the zesty lime and coconut, indulgent dark chocolate and salted caramel with burnt meringue and the much-loved classic red velvet, topped with scrumptious butter cream.

AQUITAINE BRASSERIE PLATES DESSERT WITH A TWIST
Head chef Damon Porter’s childhood memories of a traditional vanilla slice was the inspiration behind Aquitaine’s Mille Feuille, a new addition to the summer menu. Luscious vanilla chiboust cream with orange zest is topped with anise and roasted hazelnut crumbs, freeze-dried mandarin jelly, candied roast fennel seeds, bitter cocoa and lemon balm, and served with caramelised puff pastry. An explosion of subtle flavours in every spoonful.

CELEBRATE THE ART OF SWISS ICE-CREAM AT MÖVENPICK
Mövenpick’s history stretches back to the 1960s, when the ice-cream was created in the kitchens of fine Swiss restaurants. By the 1970s, the company had revolutionised the frozen dessert world, becoming the first ice-cream makers to offer a recipe with inclusions such as ripples, sauces and pieces. Since then, the Mövenpick range has expanded significantly, not only to include an ever-growing selection of ice-cream and sorbet flavours, but also a range of heavenly desserts. You can tuck in to a plates such as freshly baked crunchy chocolate waffles, served with Mövenpick Swiss chocolate and Stracciatella ice-creams, drizzled with rich chocolate sauce and sprinkled with white chocolate shavings. Look no further than ‘pie corner’, where you can select from pumpkin, apple, cherry or chocolate peanut butter pies. To top it off, order a strawberry milkshake to wash it down.

FRENCH MARTINI INDULGES YOUR SWEET TOOTH
There is something about the French that is very alluring, whether it be their accent, their champagne, their fashion or their general joie de vivre. Little Stanley Street resident French Martini embraces this French attraction, luring in passersby with seductive music and the promise of delicious French food, exquisite drops of wine and, of course, delectable desserts. Choose from traditional sweets such as creme brulee, pain perdu (a warm homemade bread and butter pudding with caramel sauce and creme anglaise), or clafoutis – a soft cherry cake served with pistachio ice-cream and cherry coulis. If you don’t have much of a sweet tooth, don’t fret, you can pair a glass of dessert wine with the fromage pour deux or pour une – a variety of French cheese served with petite salad and baguette.

KEEP YOUR COOL AT NITROGENIE
Have you ever seen your ice-cream made in front of your eyes? Dessert is taken to a whole new level at Nitrogenie, where its special anglaise is magically frozen before you to create dreamy, creamy ice-cream. Tantalise your tastebuds with the Nutella Cornucopia – chocolate-hazelnut ice-cream with a mini waffle cone full of Nutella and finished with crunchy hazelnut sprinkles.
