To mark their fifth year in Brisbane, Head Chef Matt Wood has created a special Wood & Silver Anniversary cake for two (wood being the old 5th Anniversary theme and the silver being the modern gift).
The cake is designed to suit both the old and new world featuring smoked dark chocolate ganache, rice crispy biscuit, wattle seed mousse and silver chocolate bark.
It features a wonderful smoky flavour, likened to an open fire, mixed with rich dark chocolate notes and is complemented by the light mousse and crunch of the rice crispy biscuit.
Stokehouse Q’s Head Sommelier Ramon Arnavas has matched the cake with Henriques & Henriques ‘Rainwater’ Madeira, Portugal to complete the experience. An amazing dessert wine, this delicate yet flavoursome drop is an ideal pairing for the chocolate dessert.
