The Bombe is back and it’s brilliant – both of them! Due to popular demand Head Chef of Stokehouse Q, Matt Wood, has created two limited edition versions of restaurant’s signature dessert, The Bombe to celebrate Easter 2016.
The double twist on The Bombe is a tasty and now much anticipated Easter tradition at the iconic riverside restaurant. The two limited edition Easter Bombes are ……
• Bombe 1 – Salted caramel ice-cream, macadamia nuts, honeycomb, tonka bean meringue and chocolate sauce available March 21 to Easter Sunday
• Bombe 2 – Milk chocolate & roast hazelnut ice-cream, coffee meringue, candied hazelnuts and coffee syrup available form Easter Monday to Sunday April 3.
Matt said the decision to change up the classic last year was a big moment for Stokehouse Q, as the dessert hadn’t swayed from original recipe since the restaurant opened in 2011. “It’s our signature dish which is always available on the Stokehouse Q dessert menu, so we weren’t sure if our fans would like us messing with the favourite, but last year’s flavours were so popular we just had to do it again,” says Matt.
Yep, one thing’s for sure, Easter just got a whole lot sweeter!
