Riverside views with a delicious burger in hand? We’re sold! Stokebar Q know a thing or two when it comes to delicious burgs, which is why they’re celebrating International Burger Day with a selection of $10 burgers! Think: the Signature Beef Burger featuring pickles, mustard, iceberg and cheese or the Prawn Sanga, a take on the traditional fish burger with chilli prawns, white bread and aioli.
There is something to be said for a menu that has a whole section dedicated to hand-held dishes. Tippler’s menu does not disappoint, with said section featuring delicious burgers and sliders alongside sandwiches, tacos and hotdogs. Our personal favourite is the Chi-Town – a classic cheeseburger with a grilled beef patty, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, tomato sauce and topped with good ol’ American mustard.
No surprises here! Our burger round-up wouldn’t be complete without a mention of burger specialists Burger Urge. Its menu has many filling options – Gimme the Beef for prime Australian beef, Chick Fix for marinated chicken breast and Green Out vegetarian burgers. Our pick is the Big Boppa with Angus beef, cheese, free range egg, pineapple, beetroot, red onion, tomato, lettuce, hickory BBQ sauce and aioli…mmm sweet, sweet aiolio.
South Beach Social
Who needs a measly thin burger from a burger chain? Not us! We like our buns stacked high, and South Beach Social delivers the goods. The Pulled Chicken Burger satisfies all of our needs, the toast fresh bun is topped with rotisserie chicken, slaw and chipotle.
South Bank Beer Garden
South Bank Beer Garden certainly knows how to handle a good cut of meat, but it’s their vegan burger option that we have really taken a shine to here! The Vegan Burger is packed to the brim with a falafel patty, roasted field mushrooms, sweet onion jam, cos lettuce and beetroot salsa on a gluten free bun with sweet potato fries. Who says you need meat for a good burger?
Nestled in the leafy surrounds of The Parklands, Steam Cafe serves up modern Australian dishes with comfort of a home-cooked meal. When burger pangs strike Steam has you covered, with a range including steak, lamb, beef, chicken and vegetarian options all served with chips. We love the chicken caesar burger, filled with crispy cos lettuce, shaved parmesan cheese, crispy bacon and caesar sauce.
