Sneak peek: Summer’s Savoury Smorgasbord

Summer is nearly upon us! It’s hot outside but it’s even hotter in the kitchens of our favourite South Bank restaurants, where these new dishes are being rolled out in time for the upcoming change of season…

Here is a sneak peek of South Bank’s smorgasbord of savoury summery dishes.

Lahmacun from Mado Turkish Restaurant
If you love to discover new cuisines, this dish is for you. Lahmacun is a traditional Turkish thin-crust pizza with lamb mince, tomatoes, green capsicum, herbs and lemon. Served with a side salad tossed with lemon juice and olive oil.

Taleggio Arancini from Popolo
The chefs at Popolo are quite literally on the ball with this new entree… arancini updated with taleggio, slow roasted tomato, saffron and herbed olive oil. What’s not to love!

The Athenian Pita from Zeus
Wagyu beef kefta, tzatziki, piccalilli mustard, chips and parsley nestled in a warm pita. It gets better: spend $30 and Zeus will give you FREE chocolate loukoumades

Greek topped fries from The Yiros Shop
Potato is a GLORIOUS thing. Especially when fried until crispy and topped with delicious Greek meat and sauces.

‘Zucca’ from Mister Paganini
Zucca is the newest dish on the new Mister Paganini menu! Expect a generous plate of gnocchi with pumpkin, sage, nuts and parmesan. Don’t gnocchit til you try it! 😉
