Pair Your BrisFest Activities with These Delicious Bites

Enjoying Brisbane Festival is seriously hungry work, so we’ve rounded up all the delicious eats to pair with every event at South Bank.

Arc and River Quay Fish
Arc is a stunning public dance piece set to make River Quay Green its stage, on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September. Grab a front-row seat and pair your experience with a delectable River Quay Fish picnic hamper for $89, including fish, chips, calamari, prawns, Moreton Bay bugs, slaw and drinks. Trust us, you’re guaranteed to have one epic evening.

Common People Dance Eisteddfod and South Beach Social
Teams of suburban gladiators will come together perform the ultimate dance off on in the South Bank Piazza, on Saturday 19 September. Before the festivities, we suggest you take a short walk to South Beach Social and purchase any pizza or pie with a house beer or wine for just $20. Yep, just $20. Score.

Jazz on Sundays and Hop and Pickle
Every Sunday in September you can treat your ears to a cool line-up of Brisbane’s finest jazz artists in Flowstate. A short distance away is Hop and Pickle, who will hook you up with a takeaway cheese platter for just $20. Cheese and jazz? How sophisticated of us.

Socially Distanced Dance Party and Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers
Join Brisbane Festival every Friday in September for a free socially distanced dance party; and yes, it’s as fun as it sounds. Working up a sweat is seriously hungry work though, so Gnocchi Gnocchi’s feast featuring a gnocchi of choice and a glass of 150ml Spritz or wine for $22 will keep your tummy rumbles at bay.

Sunsuper Night Sky and Popolo
Every Friday and Saturday in September, the sky will be filled with an epic laser light show. One of the best vantage points is River Quay Green, which also happens to be the optimal spot for one of Popolo’s delectable picnic hampers starting at $79. Yep, we’re sold.

Wild Energy and Barbossa Bar
Take a stroll through the impressive Wild Energy, a unique outdoor sound installation at Rainforest Walk open every day in September. Equally as impressive? Barbossa Bar’s chicken shnitty, served with Red Stripe for just $25.
