Our First Time at Sangria Masterclass

If you are looking for a good night out, than look no further than The Sangria Bar’s new ‘Sangria Masterclass,’ packed full of flavour, food and a whole lot of fun, this is one night you won’t be forgetting in a hurry…

Our ‘teacher’ for the night was Fernando who was a master when it came to all things sangria. Literally. We have never met someone who knows more about a specific drink than this guy! For instance, did you know that Sangria’s name is derived from the Spanish word ‘sangrado’ meaning blood because of its intense color? OR that you can make sparkling sangria with champagne? (Next time we have a celebration, we now have our go-to drink!)

He guided us through concocting our jugs of sangria (one per couple) which consisted of the Blueberry and Passionfruit Red Sangria, Sangria Colada White Sangria and Strawberry and Apple White Sangria. And then we promptly guided ourselves through taste-testing them all!

Included in the price was also a tasting board of Jamon Serrano (a type of truly delicious dry-cured Spanish ham), assorted Spanish cheeses, bread and marinated olives.

So how do you get in on the action we hear you scream? Luckily for you, Sangria Masterclass is on every Tuesday night at The Sangria Bar and you can book here for 2 for just $69.
