Munich Brauhaus Opens In South Bank

Munich Brauhaus is making its long-awaited debut in Brisbane this week, bringing a 900-seat, two-storey, year-round Oktoberfest experience to our very own hood!

Located in the renovated, heritage-listed Allgas Building in Stanley Street Plaza, adjacent to the iconic Streets Beach, Munich Brauhaus is now officially open to the public.

Tapping into the Munich bier hall legacy of long communal tables, bench seating, and stages for bands and performances, Munich has created a playful space that combines heritage-listed features and striking details. Expect high ceilings, exposed timber trusses, bare brick walls and, of course, plenty of Bavarian charm.

The menu features Bavarian classics, including crispy pork knuckle, crackling pork belly, schnitzels, German and gourmet sausages, and shared platters. A range of lighter bites, includes salted pretzels (of course!), chicken wings with three levels of spicy sauce, haus pickles and dips, and build-your-own salads and wraps.

The bar boasts 17 draught biers, including pure Bavarian biers and an extensive list of craft brews perfect to pair with your bites.

Run, don’t walk.
