Stokehouse Q at River Quay is welcoming winter with open arms, ushering in new ingredients from Walker Seafoods and the Epicurious Garden. Head chef Richard Ousby has introduced a selection of dishes incorporating seafood, such as albacore tuna ‘Niçoise’ with heirloom tomato, butter beans, white anchovy, black olive oil.
Obsession Chinese Restaurant
Treat your tastebuds at Obsession Chinese Restaurant this season, with dishes such as Sichuan shuizhu beef, Malaysian satay chicken and fresh Asian salad with king prawns.
The clever chefs at The Jetty have put together a new menu for winter featuring warming meals that keep some flavoursome zest. Try the marinated pork belly with red basil, charred pineapple and hot beetroot glaze or the tempura flat head with wombok slaw and saffron aioli.
Bourbon Street will be in its element this winter with a menu of hearty dishes such as its soft shell crab and creole remoulade and cauliflower and blue cheese soup.
Cactus Republic have injected a little Mexican flavor into some traditional winter dishes this season. High on our list is their chorizo and potato soup served with crispy tortilla’s.
As expected, all of Bacchus’ new winter menu’s are outstanding. However, the menu we are most excited about would have to be their new Dessert Degustation Menu. Think caramel panna cotta with sticky date, hazelnuts, prune and armagnac ice-cream and passionfruit vanilla set cream, sweet paste crust with raspberries and gingerbread ice cream.
