Everything worth eating at Great Australian Bites…

Great Australian Bites is back again this year, bigger and better than ever! There’s so much to look forward to; with the sweeping river views, relaxing music on the green – not to mention the food! And on that note, we have done all the hard work for you and rounded up the food offerings you will definitely be wanting to take a bite out of this weekend…

Tastes of the sea from River Quay Fish
RQF’s menu is seriously drool-inducing! We’re talking grilled prawn and fish tacos with fresh lime and queso and refreshing ceviche fish salad with salsa verde, avacado and coriander. Yep, drool indeed!

Modern Australian from The Jetty
The Jetty are bringing the goods when it comes to their menu for GAB. Enjoy a Aussie beef bourguinon pie with truffled tomato sauce or if your idea of the perfect Aus Day includes good old fish and chips by the river, try their tempura flat head with beer battered chips and house-made tartare. Um, yum.

Italian flavours from Popolo
Who says you have to have a meat pie on Australia Day? Add a little authentic Italian to the mix with Popolo’s seriously #delish offerings including free-range Borrowdale porj and fennel sausage with West End bakery ciabatta and Bee One Third honey and Bunnyconnellen olive braised Maranoa lamb shoulder, rosemary and garlic potatoes. And for dessert we hear you scream? You can’t go wrong with their chocolate, pistachio and ricotta cannoli.

French fare from Aquitaine
You’re going to have a hard time choosing a favourite out of Aquitaine’s menu because everything sounds So. Damn. Delicious! On offer is their lemon myrtle croque monsieur (toastie), escargot on toast and kumquat and passionfruit tart. Talk about a tough decision.

And best of all? All of these bites are priced at $8 or under! #winning
