Christmas Parties for your Yearly Group Gathering

What is it about Christmas time that suddenly makes you think ‘ I haven’t caught up with *insert name here* for *insert finger count here* 6 months.’  Whether it’s a casual get together over a few pints and burgers with the lads or a big sit-down dinner with the girls, we have your perfect place to catch up for your yearly get-together before St Nick starts knocking on your door.

If you’re after a casual catch up over some good craft beer…
If you value your craft brews, then South Bank will not disappoint. For a casual Christmas catch-up with mates head to Manhattan Line, Tippler’s Tap, Bourbon Street or Hop and Pickle who will sort you out with the best on tap plus some seriously great food. Think gourmet dogs at Manhattan, British pub bites at Hop and Pickle and the best sliders you will taste in your life from Tippler’s. For those after a slightly larger venue and some live music, head to The Charming Squire for some local brews and slow cooked ribs. Alternatively, if a view is what you are in search of, you can’t beat the ones overlooking Streets Beach from South Bank Beer Garden (made even better with a cold drink in one hand and a fresh tiger prawn in the other).

If you’re after a laidback luxe atmosphere paired with great food and drinks…
If you’re after a stylish Christmas catch-up laden with great bites and beverages, you can’t go past Next Door Kitchen and Bar which provides an intimate setting paired with substantial menu choices. Alternatively, if the sound of tapas is calling your name, The Sangria Bar is designed with groups in mind! Grab a large table and let the good times roll with live entertainment on the weekend and plenty of traditional Spanish tapas to go around. If you are a fan of the sweeping river views South Bank provides, head down to River Quay where you’ll find The Jetty, River Quay Fish and Stoke Bar, all of which offer extensive cocktail lists and dishes constructed around locally-sourced ingredients.

If you are into share plates to create a feast for the table…
If you a firm believer that ‘sharing is caring’ when it comes to your Christmas get-together, then hit up our friends at Mucho Mexicano for the ‘Mother of all Tacos,’ designed for groups to indulge in. If you are in mood for Spanish, Ole will provide you with the tastiest of tapas such as fried manchego cheese or grilled octopus matched with chorizo, fresh lime and tomato. Alternatively, head down to the original home of the share plate – Popolo! Their dishes are designed to not only be shared, but draw people together. And with dishes such as slow roasted tomato and saffron arancini and seared Hervey Bay scallops paired with celeriac, how could you not come together over them?

If breakfast is more your style…
If your group are the definition of earlybirds, then why not have a Christmas catch-up over breakfast? The golden waffles featuring honeycomb crumb at Denim Co are sure to be crowd-pleasers. Otherwise, why not head down to South Bank Beer Garden and indulge in some delicious breakfast fare while basking in the sun? Yep, that sounds like our kind of gathering!

Take me to The Manhattan Line and Hop & Pickle and South Beach Social and The Charming Squire and The Sangria Bar and The Jetty and Stoke Bar and Popolo and Ole and Denim Co.
