Cheesiest Dishes around South Bank

Cheese.  One word.  So many emotions attached to it.

Seriously, whether it be gouda, brie, camembert or cheddar, our love for this stuff knows no bounds.  In honour of International Cheese Day, we’re bringing you the cheesiest round-up ever…

Tre formaggi arancini – Popolo
In case you ‘speak no Italiano’ this translates into ‘Three Cheese Rice Balls.’  Yep, our friends at Popolo don’t kid around when it comes to cheese, cramming gorgonzola, taleggio and mozzarella into these tasty little morsels.  The roast pumpkin puree that accompanies them is just the icing or, ahem, sauce on top!

Mac n Cheese – South Side Diner
How could we compile a list like this without mentioning South Side’s famous Mac n Cheese? With the choice of three cheese and chive or smoked chicken and scallions, this will be the hardest decision you make all day!

Cheese Kranski – Pig and Kraut
Those of you familiar with Pig and Kraut will know that these guys are very, very generous with their servings! If you are yet to try their Cheese Kranski, we suggest you fix that ASAP! It’s a smoke Bratwurst filled with tiny pockets of cheese throughout.  Top it with kraut, onion and your sauce of choice, and that makes for one mighty fine Bratwurst.

Chips and feta – Zeus
So we love chips on their own but Zeus has taken them to the next level, loading them up with feta and herbs! Yes siree, this cheesey match has us absolutely smitten.

Bunuelos De Queso – The Sangria Bar
It doesn’t get much better than The Sangria Bar’s Manchego cheese fritters with mojo picon (a delicious Spanish red pepper sauce).  These babies are everything you want cheese to be!  Crispy on the outside and deliciously gooey in the middle.  Add a glass of sangria to the mix and we are in #heaven.

Take me to The Sangria Bar and Popolo and South Side Diner and Pig and Kraut and Zeus
