5 Free Summer Activities Fit For The Whole Family

School holidays are (almost) upon us! While the little ones may be in celebration mode, we are often left thinking “how on earth will I keep them entertained for a month.” Rest assured, parents! We have taken the hard work out of school holidays and rounded up 5 summer activities fit for the entire family, doggos included!

1. Grab a Retro Picnic Basket from Popolo’s and boogy to some free tunes at Sunday Social on the Green. Hot tip: doggos are welcome. Need we say more?

2. Enjoy a small poke bowl or roll (from $10.50, score!) at Picnic Island Green while you soak up those epic South Bank rays by the state-of-art playground.

3. Get cultural with a visit to GOMA’s great range of kids activities, followed by all you can eat tacos at Mucho Mexicano’s Taco Tuesdays.

4. Go for a dip at Streets Beach, overlooking the beautiful Brisbane River. Follow this with sweet treats from Main Street Market to keep that little sweet-tooth happy!

5. Ease into the weekend with scrumptious eats and free live music at The Sound Society, in South Bank’s Parklands. Bring your own picnic or grab a bite from nearby food vendors Burger Urge and New Zealand Natural.

That’s not all! Step into the Christmas season festivities at South Bank, where the precinct will come alive in December. Click here to find out more about the exciting line-up of free events.

Take me to Popolo and Suki and Mucho Mexicano and Main Street Market and The Plough Inn
