On Thursday 4 April, Tai Tai in the heart of South Bank is hosting its first spirit dinner. You’ll enjoy gorgeous Cantonese flavours and explore a range of spirits from Nikka Distillery.
What to Expect
The Tai Tai team will be serving to you an eight course banquet designed by their Head Chef, with dishes that pair perfectly with Nikka’s range.
You will be presented with a Nikka Vodka cocktail on arrival, giving you the perfect opportunity to mingle with the host for the evening.
Throughout the evening, you will be served four separate Nikka Whiskies and a Nikka gin palate cleanser. The event will be the perfect way to further your knowledge about premium spirits while enjoying the diversity in Tai Tai’s menu.
Born into a sake brewing family in Hiroshima in 1894, Masataka graduated with a Major in Brewing. The young Taketsuru with an ambition to make genuine whisky became the first Japanese ever to master the craft.
He established the premium whisky house of Nikka in 1934 with determination to introduce his fellow Japanese to the joys of authentic whisky. In the decades since, as his company developed and the enjoyment of whisky became a fixture in Japan, he remained relentlessly passionate about quality. Nikka Distillery is now Japan’s second largest distiller.
