When we stepped into MySweetopia this morning for our morning coffee, the café smelled sweet and spicy. It was as though Christmas had come early. Or Christmas in July had arrived late.
Either way, owner Elisa Cao informed us that the smell was coming from the oven where a batch of apple and cinnamon muffins were baking to golden perfection.
We were baffled at this news. All this time we have been preoccupied by MySweetopia’s cupcakes, failing to see what was right before our eyes: a variety of muffins lovingly baked from scratch each morning in house.
These fluffy, fruity morsels are the perfect way to start the day. Flavours rotate daily. Today’s selection included contemporary combinations like strawberry almond, peanut butter and peach. Classicists can opt for raspberry and white chocolate, blueberry or apple and cinnamon.
