Yes, you read correctly. On Sunday, 18 June Dr Jane Goodall will bring you closer to humankind’s closest relative. Goodall’s research demonstrated the chimp’s capacity for tool making and complex family relationships and revealed both their intimate friendships and their dark, violent nature.

Life in sunny Queensland hasn’t always been this free. Step back in time with this exhibition, which draws on the extensive collections of the State Library of Queensland to reminisce, reflect, and explore freedoms won and lost in Queensland through the years.
