Ooh la la! Aquitaine has re-vamped its fixed price menu to mirror the season with a host of warming Winter dishes. Here is what we will be ordering…
To start, we will sample the butter poached barramundi with charcoal vinaigrette, tarragon crumb and confit saffron sweet potato.
For main course, we are loving the look of the pulled duck cassoulet. This is a classic French tomato and bean stew with Toulouse sausage and smoked pork belly. The flavours are hearty however the plating is anything but rustic.
To finish, we’ll devour the deconstructed crème brûlée finished with lemon sable, verjus gel and maple tuile.
Aquitaine’s Prix Fixe menu is perfect for those wanting to celebrate without blowing budget or waistline. Choose precisely how much you want to spend and eat: a main course and dessert costs $42, and entree and a main course costs $48 or all three courses can be enjoyed for $58.
You’re also able to add your first beverage for $5. On such occasion we think it would be sacrilegious to drink anything but a wine from France!
