WHAT TO DO IN APRIL

Turn your social life from drab to fab with this list of upcoming events!

1. Film Noir

If Howard Hawks is your homeboy, read on. GOMA’s Box Office has curated a selection of films from the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s. Cue gangsters in dive bars, femmes fatales, private detectives and neon-lit streets filled with people wearing hats. It’s a dastardly good time.

2. Sunday afternoon picnic + live music

Celebrate the end of cyclonic weather by hosting a picnic this Sunday arvo at River Quay Green. We highly recommend asking Popolo to pack you a retro picnic basket full of antipasto, pizza, drinks, salad and fries. Your squad with be serenaded with live music from 2pm thanks to Sunday Sessions on the Green. Click here for the full lineup of bands playing in April.

3. Medibank Feel Good Fitness Classes

Be your very own #fitspo with Medibank’s program of FREE fitness classes. We are loving Ballet Fit, which fuses techniques of ballet and Pilates. To see the weekly class timetable, click here!

4. Warney Uncut

Are you a cricket nut? Shane Warne is coming to town to set the record straight. He will be taking questions from the audience, so consider this your opportunity to speak with the man behind the myths… in person!

5. All You Can Eat Pizza at Mister Paganini

Skip lunch and head to Mister Paganini, where two hours of unlimited wood fired pizza costs just $25. Available every Tuesday night from 5pm.

6. Making Modernism at GOMA

Craving some culture? Head to GOMA to check out the Making Modernism exhibit. The iconic art of Georgia O’Keeffe is showcased alongside modernist masterpieces by Australian artists Margaret Preston and Grace Cossington Smith.
